Director of Business Development

Kyber Security has been delivering full service technology solutions to businesses in the Northeastern US since 1995. We are laser focused on delivering enterprise security and secure support to the small to medium sized business market ‘from a hacker’s point of view’. We have developed security solutions for SMBs which will protect their people, processes, infrastructure and organizational data from the multitude of cyber threats in the market. We are well positioned for significant growth in the coming years, and currently have an opening for a talented Director of Business Development.  

Position Summary:

Kyber Security is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to lead our business development team in hunting for new business as well as farming of our current client base.  This player/coach position is for a seasoned sales leadership professional to guide and mentor our team as well as play an active role in developing new business.  An ideal candidate will have real world experience leading and selling using the Sandler Sales Methodology or similar process in pain based sales strategy. The ability to both solve complex business technology problems and develop solutions based on a business’s needs are critical. Responsibilities:

The successful Director of Business Development will be responsible for achieving the organization’s sales goals to facilitate our aggressive, but controlled, growth targets. Duties in this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead sales team in all scheduled sales team meetings/conference calls
  • Lead, mentor and motivate existing sales team to ensure goals are met and clients are satisfied
  • Hire and train new sales staff as appropriate for our growth
  • Develop and manage sales and marketing operating budget
  • Develop and deliver on sales forecasts
  • Monthly reporting on sales progress and success
  • Attend key client and prospect meetings as appropriate
  • Acquire new accounts through prospecting, networking and strategic partnerships
  • Qualify opportunities to determine scope and develop proposal solutions
  • Identify prospect security and technical requirements
  • Successfully demonstrate our solutions
  • Work with internal team to ensure successful delivery of solutions to customer
  • Provide implementation team with documentation for successful onboarding of clients
  • Travel, as needed, to industry events, prospect and partner sites
  • Handling technical presentations at trade shows and conferences
  • Proactively communicating with prospects and customers to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction (WOW Service)
  • Manage behavior based sales plans that are reviewed weekly
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales or Marketing or equivalent experience
  • Proven 5+ years track record of selling managed IT and/or security solutions and managing similar team
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in an organization
  • Experience designing and presenting technical solutions to meet customer needs
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire teams
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Professional presentation skills
  • Self-starter, cooperative attitude; team player
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and time management skill
